Can you use a yeast infection treatment while you’re on your period?

i ordered a yeast infection treatment kit online, and i just got my period today. The treatment kit should come in two days. Will it still work if you use it with your period? or shall i wait untill after the cycle is over? It’s the kind of treatment with the applicator

if you use it while you’re bleeding you’re probably going to defeat the purpose meaning if you’re trying to get rid of the infection then you probably should wait until your period is over

I just had this conversation with my nurse practitioner – she said to wait until after the flow slowed down, or the treatment would just get “washed” away with the other fluids.

It’ll be messy and unpleasent, but it needs to be treated ASAP. In my opinion, you shouldn’t wait for the kit, you should get out to your drugstore now and buy a kit. It’s an infection, and should be treated seriously. You don’t want to delay treatment any longer than you have to, or you could end up with nasty side effects.
